What we read and why
We read the quotes you choose to upload so we can organise their costs, work and terms into a comparison. Quotes may contain names, addresses, phone numbers and builder details. Remove personal information that is not needed, including bank details and signatures, before uploading. Only upload documents you have permission to share.
How your documents are processed
We accept PDF and DOCX files up to 8 MB each. Original files are held temporarily while we extract text, then discarded. The extracted text is sent to Groq, a third-party processing provider, to organise the quote into structured fields. Groq may process data outside the UK. Its data policy and applicable transfer arrangements govern that processing; we do not claim UK-only processing or zero retention by the provider.
Read Groq’s data policy. This service does not use your quotes to train its own model. We do not sell your documents or use them for advertising.
A human check during the trial
The trial operator can inspect extracted document text, structured results, source evidence and your feedback. Early results are checked before they are released. This helps us identify mistakes; it does not guarantee that all errors are found. Do not upload highly sensitive or confidential documents.
Who can see your result
A private browser cookie gives you access to your comparison without an account. It is an essential access cookie, not an advertising cookie. We check it on each request. There are no public file listings or document download links. Your comparison link alone does not give another browser access.
Seven-day retention and deletion
Extracted text, results and feedback are kept for up to seven days from the start of the comparison. Expired records are removed automatically while the service is running and on startup. You can use Delete comparison on the result page to remove them sooner. Deleting your browser cookie removes your access but does not delete the stored comparison; it still expires after seven days.
Temporary originals are removed after extraction. This trial does not configure separate application backups of quote data. Server operators and infrastructure providers may have administrative access. We use HTTPS for the deployed service and restrict local data-file permissions. We do not claim end-to-end encryption or encryption at rest.
Feedback and aggregate usage
We collect the feedback you submit to improve this trial. It is linked to the comparison and expires with it. Please do not include personal information. We keep anonymous event counts for 30 days to understand whether people upload and view comparisons. These counters contain no quote contents, names, IP addresses or browser identifiers. Hosting security logs may record technical request information.
Your choices
Use the delete control for the quickest removal. For privacy questions or requests, contact the operator through the portfolio contact section. We use your upload and consent to provide the service you request. You can withdraw from the trial by deleting your comparison. If you are concerned about how personal information is handled, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
